Hand Carpets is based in Majhawa, Kachhwa, in the Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh — part of India's historic carpet-weaving region, where generations of families have made rugs by hand.
Our collection covers four ways of making a rug: knotted, tufted, handwoven kilim and handloom. Each technique gives a different character, from the dense, detailed pile of a knotted rug to the light, graphic weave of a kilim.

To make genuinely handmade rugs easy to choose and easy to buy — with clear sizes and prices, honest descriptions and photographs, and careful delivery to homes and businesses in India and abroad.

Retail, trade and export
We sell directly to homeowners, and we work with interior designers, retailers and importers through our wholesale and export programme. Need a size or colour that is not listed? Ask for a custom rug.
